  • "Kneeling by the Pond" from The Roar of the Lioness
    《獅吼記 : 跪池》
    Performed by Liang Guyin (梁谷音) with Ji Zhenhua (計鎮華) and
    Wen Yuhang (溫宇航)

  • "Sweeping under a Pine Tree" from The Lute Song
    《琵琶記: 掃松》
    Performed by Ji Zhenhua (計鎮華) and Liu Yilong (劉異龍) from the Shanghai Kunqu Troupe.

Professor David Rolston, Director of the Language Program and Chair of the Language Program Committee in the Department of Asian Languages and Cultures at the University of Michigan. will introduce the program and provide a brief background of the plays to be performed.

Free tickets (limit four per person) are available in advance through Ticketmaster beginning 10:00 a.m. Monday, June 2, (202) 397-7328, or at Ticketmaster walk-up locations. Tickets (limit two per person) are also available at the Meyer Auditorium one hour before show-time, on a first-come, first-served basis.

  • "The Sorrowful Witness" from The Massacre of Thousands of Loyalists
    《千忠戮 : 慘睹 》
    Performed by Kunqu artist Wen Yuhang (溫宇航) with guest performers
